What you will be doing:
- Working with Supplier Technical Assurance Manager, to support/lead the deployment of the Quality strategy and Zero Defects Roadmap for the aligned business area to achieve business goals.
- Responsible of Quality assurance activities across multiple suppliers/complex commodities in aerospace supply chain.
- Protect the business and customer through managing/coaching of effective problem containment/resolution, to minimize impact and to ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified in a timely manner.
- Lead/drive proactive assurance and problem themes, defect prevention actions and improvement plan with suppliers, to reduce the risks of nonconformance/noncompliance from technical, human and organizational factors.
- Drive reduction of key Quality performance metrics. Ensure appropriate governance and support in place within the aligned business area to drive Quality performance to meet requirements, business goals.
- Understand relevant law / regulation, customer requirements and business area strategy, support definition and implementation of the associated compliance strategy of supplier Quality Management System.
- Lead/support supplier classified part/production process audit and responsible for QMS compliance (SABRe) across owned suppliers.

As part of the Supplier Management Team, working with Supplier Quality Manager, to drive Supplier Maturity improvement to deliver performance that enables the business to achieve its goals, assess prospective suppliers for suitability, fit and capability in respect to the commodity / sourcing strategy.

Position Qualifications:
- Professionally qualified with relevant experience in quality and aerospace industry
- Ideally, have a broad knowledge of product through the life cycle
- Have knowledge and understanding of airworthiness regulations
- Knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies, e.g. 8D, Six Sigma, Lean
- Knowledge of defect prevention tools, such as PFMEA/CP/ MSA/Process control
- Ability to influence and assess the related Quality implications in a challenging operational environment
- Knowledge/experience of conducting supplier audit
- Well-developed customer and relationship management skills to work as part of the Business and Quality Leadership team, and with other internal and external Stakeholders and other Industry bodies
- Experience of influencing and building relationships at different levels
- An understanding of a positive product safety, and just culture.
- Operational experience of activities within the relevant approved organization scope
- Proficient in English, both written and oral.
- An understanding of Human factors and Human Performance
